Program Overview

The University of Florida’s Eric Friedheim Tourism Institute (EFTI) and Department of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management (THEM) in conjunction with Walt Disney World Resort (WDW) are offering a six-month academic exchange experience program for international students enrolled in tourism, hospitality, marketing, business or other related fields at UF’s current international partner universities in Canada: Brock University, University of Waterloo, Mount Royal University, Niagara College and St. Lawrence College.

Covering 40 square miles, Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts are some of the world’s most visited and beloved destination. The Resort has 73,000 employees making it the largest single-site employer in the United States.

With 10 faculty members, four research centers, and dozens of publications every year, the Department of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management at UF offers the highest quality of education to prepare for management and leadership positions inside and outside of the travel and tourism industry.
